With Alert Level 2 in effect the racing is subject to contact tracing and physical distancing requirements. Each club is going to operate separately off-water, as its own defined space, and take responsibility for managing these requirements.
2020-08-15 17:53:02Notices: Bishop Owen Oar
This is the collection of regatta notices for the 2020 Bishop Owen Oar.
Rather than head around Point Jerningham and down Evans Bay to NIWA the course will be 2 anti-clockwise laps of the Lambton Harbour course: Te Papa to Pt Jerningham return and repeat.
2020-08-15 12:51:15The course will be the Southern long distance course: Te Papa to Point Jerningham to NIWA and back.
However, a final go/no-go decision will not be made until tomorrow, as we need to know what Alert Level we will be operating under.
The Bishop Owen Oar (for school eights) is held at the same time as the Mothes Shield (for club fours/quads). Competitors can only enter one of the two regattas.
