Athletes from Gisborne, Rotorua Tauranga and Hawkes Bay enjoyed their first racing of the Season albeit a little wet on Sunday.
An outstanding turnout from Tauranga with over 70 athletes attending saw them retain the John Howard Trophy with 58 points. Hawkes Bay on 29, and Gisborne on 3. Rotorua share in the Tauranga celebrations as they participated mostly in composite crews.
It was great to get the Level One decision on Monday to allow some great racing on the Clive.
