Notices: Jury Cup

This is the collection of regatta notices for the 2013 Jury Cup.

Regatta cancelled

As you are no doubt aware the weather forecast for this weekend is not flash, with some heavy showers and quite strong winds - windfinder. Further, the Whanganui River is predicted to be 5 metres above normal flow at Pipiriki at midnight tonight and there is further heavy rain forecast for the headwaters tomorrow - horizons. When we look at these factors the chances of being able to run a successful regatta are very slim and we would prefer you remember the great regattas of the past few seasons rather than a miserable experience this year. Accordingly, to prevent any unnecessary we are unfortunately going to cancel this year's Jury Cup Regatta. We would remind you all that the Wanganui Champs will be held on the weekend of 8 February 2014 and we invite you all to consider including that on your Regatta Programme for the season.
