Although there was interest in a rescheduled regatta river levels were forecast to be high. So a decision was ultimately made to cancel the regatta.

This is the collection of regatta notices for the 2016 Manawatu Grunt.
Unfortunately the weather is looking terrible on Sunday with 28kt westerlies (gusting up to 42kt!). So racing will not go ahead. But HORC might look at postponing and having it on the 7th August if there is sufficient interest.
2016-07-22 13:08:57The on-water time is 9:00AM. Estimated start time for racing is 10:00AM. Some crews will need the full hour to reach the start so please make sure your crews are on-water on time!
