Redcoats

Today's featured Redcoat ? holder is:

Redcoats, which are actually maroon, are awarded to the members of gold medal winning NZ crews in Premier events at Nationals. Premier is the highest ability level. The Redcoats recognise achievement at that level. Competitors receive their Redcoat once; the first time they qualify.

Please note that, at present, rowIT only has Redcoat data from 2007 onwards.

Senior Pins

Today's featured Senior Pin ? holder is:

Senior Pins were introduced when NZRA's Classification According to Ability was revitalised for 2018. They are awarded to the members of gold medal winning NZ crews in Senior events at Nationals. Senior is the highest level achievable for rowers within clubs (to reach Premier they must be selected for Rowing Performance Centres). The pins recognise achievement at that level. Competitors receive their Senior Pin once; the first time they qualify - like with Redcoats.

Pathway members

Today's featured National Pathway ? member is:

The National Pathway was introduced in 2021. In 2024 are 3 National Pathway Tiers for rowers: Identification, Emerging, and Pre-High Performance. And a National Pathway for coxswains. There is also an International Pathway for rowers and for coxswains. Pathway memberships are updated from to time as people meet the relevant standards to become members or move between Tiers.

Top Tens

Today's featured Top Ten badge ? holder is:

Top Ten badges are awarded to students who achieve a finish in the top 10 of a U18 event at Maadi (excluding N18 and provided there were 11+ crews competing). U18 is the highest level of competition for students within schools. The badges recognise achievement at that level. Competitors receive a Top Ten badge each year they qualify.

Please note that, at present, rowIT only has Top Ten data from 2003 onwards.

Goldcoats

Today's featured Goldcoat ? holder is:

Goldcoats were awarded to the members of gold medal winning NZ crews in Lightweight Premier events at Nationals (until 2020, when Lightweight events were removed from the programme of events). Premier is the highest ability level. The Goldcoats recognised achievement by Lightweights at that level. Competitors received their Goldcoat once; the first time they qualified.

Please note that, at present, rowIT only has Goldcoat data from 2007-2019.
