There is currently a Gold Clam infestation at Karapiro. The rowing community needs to do its part to prevent this invasive species spreading elsewhere.

North Island Local Associations have expressed an interest in holding a North Island Provincial Championships on the weekend of 28 & 29 September at Karapiro. The date and venue will first need to be confirmed with KRI, then with the Karapiro Lake Users group. So this is only a tentative calendar item, for now.
