Due to algae levels the regatta cannot go ahead at Lake Hood as planned. Instead, it has been agreed to relocate and hold a one-day regatta at Lake Ruataniwha on Saturday 8 April.
2023-04-02 09:36:45Notices: University Rowing Champs
This is the collection of regatta notices for the 2023 University Rowing Championships.
University Rowing NZ will be selecting a men's and women's eight to represent New Zealand Universities to race against the Australian Universities representatives in Brisbane from the 3rd -9th July, with training camps from the 23rd June.
The cost could be up to NZ$4000 - our aim is to make it as cheap as possible, and we will refund any excess funds back to the athletes. The closer we get to the event the clearer the overall costs will be.
You must compete in the NZ Universities Rowing Championships at Easter and be available to trial on Sunday 9th April from 8am - 12 noon and you must be capable of rowing a pair.
The selectors reserve the right to select the eight's using any method they feel best fits the nominated trialists. If conditions or other limitations do not allow for on water trialing the selectors have the right to select the crews off the information supplied.
To fill out this form, you will need your current passport and 2km erg scores.
The nomination forms are found HERE
Your information will be shared with the team manager, NZU selectors and team coaches.
If you have any questions - please email Glen Sinclair
