Exciting new regatta format

This regatta is a little different to anything Auckland clubs and rowers may have experienced before a "big boat" regatta.

The Auckland Rowing Association (ARA) is developing this as a unique rowing event in Auckland.

The regatta offers the opportunity to mix school, club and RPC athletes into the same combinations.
We are developing the event because we believe it will deliver the following outcomes:
- Foster coach relationships to improve local competition.
- Facilitate athlete-club relationships to improve retention into clubs.
- Provide an opportunity for the best athletes to share knowledge.
- Create a rowing event which offers athletes a unique and rewarding experience.

To incentivise coaches to communicate and create the best possible mixed crews, the ARA will be providing prizes for the mixed events.

Parking

Please pass onto your rowers, parents and supporters the message that Auckland Council has signalled their intention to strictly enforce parking restrictions around Lake Pupuke during the regatta. In particular any vehicle parked on a verge or a designated no parking zone will be automatically towed. This will make for an expensive day out. These restrictions will be imposed at all the Lake Pupuke regattas this season - Pierce Road and Sylvan Park Ave in particular
