A crew was relegated to last place after its coxswain's deadweight was check-weighed and found to be underweight.
IMPORTANT: the coxswain weighed in with one set of deadweight but those were not available for their race so a different set of deadweight was used. The weights turned out to be less than they were labelled as weighing - leading to the relegation.
Best practice is to race using the deadweight you weigh-in with. But the lesson is to test your weights to make sure they weigh as much as their label shows.
